ROUND DANCING

Instructor Shirley Ivins combines the grace of ballroom dancing with a

caller. This class teaches two-step and waltz. Come on down and get into

GYMNASTICS CLASSES

 

KINDER GYM

This class is for three, four, and five year olds. It teaches children the beginning

fundamentals of gymnastics. They will learn coordination and build

strength and flexibility. Gymnastics equipment will be used such as: The

balance beam, mini trampoline, vaulting box, and much more. Class is

ongoing register with instructor at time of class.

BEGINNING GYMNASTICS

Boys and girls age six and up will learn the basic fundamentals of floor

gymnastics. Coordination skills, flexibility, and strength will be built. Basic

tumbling will be taught such as: Cartwheels, backbends, front and back

rolls, roundoffs, and front limbers. Class is ongoing register with instructor

at time of class.

YOGA

Join a fast growing trend! Taught by long time valley instructor Sue Bouk.

This class is the perfect break from your busy day and a great way to exercise

with low impact. The class will feature over 1 hour of stretching and

strengthening using classic yoga techniques. This class is designed for

beginner to intermediate students. Please wear comfortable clothing and

bring your towel or mat. Please register and pay at class.

STRENGTH BALANCE & FLEXIBILITY

This exercise program from the Riversides County’s Office on Aging is

focused on safety and effectiveness. Specifically designed to increase

strength for better joint support, restore balance & flexibility. Most exercises

are done sitting in chairs. A certified instructor teaches this ongoing class.

The atmosphere is supportive and encouraging. Sign up at class.

LIMALAMA - Arts of Self Defense

Valley-Wide offers these popular self-defense classes for all ages from 5 up

in the American-Polynesian martial art Limalama. Great for men, women,

boys and girls, beautiful to watch with Polynesian hand and foot movements

that are powerful, flowing, and fast. Learn technique, speed, flexibility,

balance, power, timing, coordination, courage and self-discipline. This

art will change the way you see yourself and others and help you in everyday

life. The classes are ongoing and you may join at any time. You register

GOLF INSTRUCTION

Play the greatest game around! In these series of four sessions you will

learn the pre-swing and in-swing fundamentals of short game and full

swing irons and woods through simple methods and take home drills plus

rules, etiquette, and equipment tips. Open to men, women and kids over

QUILTING

Machine Quilting: Stack ‘n Whack

Are you a quilter who loves to play with fabric? Come to create a dazzling

quilt with the Stack ‘n Whack method. This method produces a kaleidoscope

effect, in which a symmetrical design radiates from the center of the block.

We will be doing the half- square triangle quilt in class. Materials list will

be discussed the first day of class. AFTER the first meeting bring your sewing

machine to class. Textbook, Magic Stack ‘n Whack by Bethany S. Reynolds,

will be available in class for a fee of $16.50 tax included.

Machine Quilting: Applique

In this class you will learn the various methods of appliquéing which can be

used in a quilt setting, to make pillows, placemats, runners, wall hanging

or a sampler.

Methods covered will be machine and by hand. Machine appliqué consist of

the invisible, blanket stitch and slipstitch. Bring your own sewing machine.

A supply list will be provided the first day of class.
